Redmond, WA has long straddled the line of being a technology hub and suburban community. Well-established companies draw forward thinking people from all over the world while access to nature and great schools keep them there. To resonate with this dynamic populous, the design team created a project that is bold yet comfortable, familiar while still feeling fresh Drawing inspiration from the purposeful and layered look of Redmond’s technology focused workforce, interior design ideation centered on three core themes: industrial, sophisticated, and expressive. Through these lenses the concept of “Manthropology” evolved to describe the culture, relationships, and aesthetic tastes akin to this demographic. Our approach reflects a global, design-centric mindset, prioritizing quality over quantity, layered compositions, and distinguished style. Graphic moments in unexpected places contrast with rich woods and leather seating. Plush velvet niches and aged brass provide warmth and texture throughout; classics reimagined.
The amenity programs is carefully tailored to resident psychographics, including spaces to work remotely, host community gatherings, and tinker on hand-crafted hobbies. Because the target renter may not be an extravert, it was important to ensure that more singular areas, such as the pet spa, were just as inviting as the larger gathering spaces like the club room. The Maker’s Space offers a dedicated place for residents to update their bike or work on creative projects.
Through layering sophisticated yet comfortable elements, Talisman offers distinctive and memorable spaces that will make anyone feel at home in the lively Redmond Town Center.
