Consensus building, inclusivity, and deconstruction define Coffman Engineers’ new workplace, a pure expression of the company’s cultural values and personality. To get there, we began with a fully democratic design process, grounding every decision in broad participation and honest feedback. Input from more than 100 employees laid the foundation for a reimagined space in downtown Seattle that celebrates Coffman’s client-focused philosophy and fun-forward culture. The result is a workplace shaped by the people who use it, and aligned with how they actually work. Curiosity, collaboration, and deconstruction drive the design, reflecting the sparks that ignite remarkable innovation. By celebrating the inter-workings of their discipline and making space for active collaboration, the workplace reinforces both technical rigor and human connection. It is a culture-aligned environment that does not just look like Coffman Engineers. It works the way they do.
