In celebration of International Women’s Day, Ankrom Moisan’s
Portland office hosted its second annual AMA Women’s Day. This year we honored
“Champions of the Workplace” in our event-worthy new headquarters at 38 Davis.
The first part of our program included a shout-out to women in the office who

“Champion of Innovation,” and “Champion of Empowerment,” we playfully honored
the countless things these successful women do on a daily basis.
The highlight of the event was guest speaker Erin Moore,
Associate Professor at the University of Oregon. Teaching in both the
Department of Architecture and the Environmental Studies Program, Erin is a
champion for sustainable design and her work has been featured in publications
worldwide. In addition to education and research, Erin also devotes her time to
her architecture practice FLOAT.

The 100+ person event would not have been such a success
without the generosity of our sponsors. We were delighted to welcome a team
from Glumac and thrilled to have Hip Chicks Do Wine pour their latest vintage.
We are also very grateful to Lather, who kindly donated products for our swag
bags, and to Aries Apparel for donating a gift card for our raffle.
We’re looking forward to hosting more events with a theme of
equity. Keep an eye on Facebook and Twitter for upcoming collaborations.
